AIRGUN REPORT FOR JUNE. ALLANS VIEW.
What a windy day for shooting airgun. Separated the men from the boys. Quite a stiff breeze from behind, and those little pelts over a long distance, well you can imagine. You had to work for your points.
Sharon had an interesting shoot; open sights had a row of field targets sparrows, dassies, squirrels etc 7 of them and then a paper target. The field target had to flop down for full score 5 and if hit and no down you got 3 or 1 point depending on where you hit it.
The scoped section was rather difficult standing sitting and, in some cases, using sticks to shoot over. Knock down silhouettes with an alien invasion target. You got to shoot his spaceship, and then mutilate ET, by shooting him on his appendages. Glad I’m not an alien. And of course 5 underfed turkeys at about 40 meters. Verry challenging with the wind.
The .22 shoot was open sights and sporting pistol, was also tight with the wind out to 100m
The results were done, but the usual banter and clapping and comments flying, I did nit take much notice of the positions, it was great. I know I won the air pistol, but other than that I have no idea. I’m shure Sharon and John will supply a scorecard with all the details.
All in all a great shoot, thanks Sharon and John for organizing it.
