Allan Peeters
Well, a bit disappointing turnout. Only had 7 shooters, Clive and Anso shot early, as they had commitments later.
The rest of the day we were 5 shooters.
Started with 2 rounds of Eng. doubles as this is fun to shoot. Loopers, Battues, Hen and Chick’s, Mini’s launched into space and Teals. Here Theo was top gun shooting a 24.
Then moved to Skeet here we had a tie for top gun on 23 and a tie for 3rd. So, we decided on a sudden death shoot off, instead of a countback, more fun that way.
Theo and Sean went first, Duck station high house. Sean powdered the high house QUITE SPECTACULARLY I MUST SAY, and completely demoralized Theo, who had to be satisfied with 2nd place.
PD and I were in a fight for 3rd place. Here we tied and moved 3 paces closer, here I managed to win the shoot off. Bionic arm rules!!!!
Trap was an eye opener, everyone shot crap, except Sean who managed his first straight on trap in about 25 years (he says) … Needless to say, we shot his cap to shit for his stout effort. Well done that man. I manage 2nd place with a 23, not to shabby. But everyone else suffered. Will have to speak to Donald about a Sangoma!
We were also treated to a diving Hawk taking a Pidgeon in flight, right in front of the trap house. Not something you see every day. Nature at its best.
