Tom Diedericks
As I drove to the club, I wondered who I will find there just past 8h00 in the morning, probably only Allan, true as Bob, Allan was already busy, and he helped me as well to set up the 3-gun ranges. Long time since the tuning targets worked properly thanks Allan & John.
It was a nice summer day and Markus, and I was not ready for the heat… no sunblock.
The day was long, Allan and I wanted to do the 3-gun as quick as possible and carry on with the 100 Clay competition, which we did. I must say I was very tired at the last event, the ball trap. Markus also had to do more than his usual, well his muscles was so stiff Sunday morning that he skipped church.
Coming to the results and TOP GUNS, an honorable mention here is Jacques. He did very well with the handgun with a score of 115 and should have been our top hand gunner. Unfortunately, his scorecard was mixed with his and his son’s shooting. That been said, the 2-gun is 2 events, not 3, and Sharon and Jacques and his son was the only 2 gunners. The 3-Gun 3rd position is actually a visitor’s, Elje. The Rifle top gun, Allan missed out by 1 point! Sharon was another point behind… impressive. Well, you know what they say… a miss is as good as a mile.
There is still one 3-gun completion left this year (November) and there is 1 point difference in the first 2 positions… and I can say the current first position is not the usual guy.
