Well well what a fricking hot day, hot as the hinges of hell.
But all in all, a most enjoyable days shooting, luckily it was over fairly quickly, we started at 11 and were finished just after 2.
Our 100 bird competition consisted of: Trap, Trap Doubles, Skeet and Sporting 25 clays in each totaling of 100 clays
Followed by copious amounts of beer and boerie rolls.
Clive and Anso did a great prize giving and awarding of medals, like it should be done, hang them around the shooters neck. That’s why they have ribbons attached.
Nice to have a big score board with all the shooters and scores out there for all to see.
I can “plak” a pic of the scores.
Unfortunately, with computers and Practiscore you have no visual idea of the results.
Old days you had the wailing wall where you could see where you lie, and then they had a query period……I miss those days.
I digress, I think too much.
Back to the shoot.
Mooi so Clive and Anso, for running the shoot, a pity we had so few shooters 9 in all.
We had 2 trapper boys and that made the sporting more interesting and go faster, thanks Sean for setting the sporting range up.
Nice to see Anja and Fredrick there, my goodness the lad has got big, from the rugby I presume. The little/big bugger shoots well. Won the trap with a 23. And won overall gold. Mooi so.
We had two ladies shooting, se need more ladies competing.
Anso Spencer WSC Shotgun 100 round shoot #2 was held on 7 October 2023. It was a scorchingly hot day!
Well Done to Frederik and Anje Rademan who took first place overall and first place ladies!
Sean Cochrane took 2nd place overall, very closely followed by Allan Peeters in 3rd place. Thanks to everyone who assisted on the day!!
