Man, oh man were we prepared for the cold weather. The forecast said very cold and 60% chance of rain …. typical weather forecasters got it totally wrong. No rain beautiful day. Ok the wind was cold, coming off the snow in Lesotho. But out of the wind, it was great days shooting.
Range building at 8.30.
After the complicated way of setting ranges, we got off to shooting at about 11.
Six stages were set up.
3 stages short and sweet.
One nice stage with 2 swingers one with a target and one with a plate, and pepper poppers, things happening when you shoot.
Assault course which was long and lots of targets and lots of plates.
My take on the shoot, I thought it was great, a bit tough on the non SAPSA members, but you have to start somewhere.
The top shooters reveled in it, lots of strategies into your plan of attack. Minimum time for your bangs
Of course, I hated the plates and there were lots of them.
I had 250 rounds of ammo between Matty and myself, and we ran out. It was a 95 round count… Dam plates.
