Allan Peeters
What a friggin awesome day of shooting.
Started at 12 o clock, just as well, at 8 you could not see sh!t, the mist was so bad you could not see the backstop. Cleared up to be a great day.
Anyway, I ran the shoot, Matty and Patrick helped set it up. So, when you guys arrived at 12 the ranges were already set up. Lekker ne?
The shoots I got from Ettiene were too difficult/complicated for a club shoot, so I modified them a lot.
Never used one screen, never forced you into funny corners, never boxed you in with barrier tape. Just box A or B. nothing funny. I even put in some humanoid targets. Almost like an old mans shoot.
Told you how the shoot was modified, and how to shoot some stages.
You had to engage through the tunnel 3 targets.
You had to shoot on the move.
You had to start by engaging two targets.
You had to start in box A and finish in box B.
Basic stuff, I think it worked out OK.
I don’t think some shooters have had to shoot on the move, a nice learning curve. One shoot you had to.
The “El Presidente” was something else, it was about accuracy, not speed and balls to the wall. Lots of shooters dropped shots here, penalties were stiff. Slow down shoot accurately.
This shoot was not about strategy and running fast and having a 5 min walkthrough with air gunning. And planning. “Soos hoenders wat koring soek”. Just a lekker straight forward shoot.
We had some surprising results Pieter Fourie was the winner of the day. Mooi so Pieter!
The results are on Practiscore if you know how it works. Don’t know about different categories.
