We did a quick survey of those who shoot .22 rifle in regard to conducting a runner shoot on Saturday 1 October in conjunction with the air gun shoot schedules for that Saturday, the consensus was “Yes please”.
I had been working on the runner for the past month overhaling the gearbox as well as sorting out the limit switches so that the switcher “laches” once the “Go” button (left or right) and that when the limit switch is tripped, the runner stops automatically. I am please to announce that it is all back together and working “perfectly,” hence the proposal to shoot it this Saturday.
There was a good turnout with 14 members competing.

I was pressed to lead the way and to shoot first so I can give the lead distance to the other shooters; this I did and surprise surprise I posted a very reasonable score of 56/100.
Tom and Markus followed and then the rest. Jacques shot third and posted the 2nd best score of 50/100. Followed by Mattie Matthysen with 49 and then Sharon scored 45 in her very first runner shoot (or should I say first completed run as it was during her 1st attempt that the runner failed).

The overall scores for the Runner Shoot and the positions respectfully are:
