Results – Air Gun 4 (5/8/2023)

What a great day for shooting airgun, no wind, sun shining into the afdak.

Pity we had so few shooters

Sharon was running the show. We had a field target day.

Both ranges, the scoped and open sight ranges had a mix of field targets and silhouettes.

The field targets were a Squirrel 9m a Rat at about 15m a Meerkat at about 25 m and a Bunny at 50m.

The scoped was a bit more difficult it went out to 50 meters with the closest at 9 meters but with a 5mm aperture in it and two ranges of silhouettes.

The open site from 9 meter to 30 meters but with no apertures. Also, two ranges, So nice balance of targets.

The field targets had to be shot 3 times if you hit the aperture the target would flop down, 5 points. you then re set it by pulling it up with a long string and then re-engage it.

If you did not hit the aperture one point and it would not flop down. Was fun!

We had the Bekker box, which indexes the targets for you. You got 5 targets; You shot each one twice, a total of 10 shots for 100 points. The bull is the size of a pinhead, so you had to be very accurate.

Then pistol air-gun silhouettes a full set of 25.

Then sporting handgun. .22 a full set of silhouettes

Then .22 open sight a full set out to 100meters.

A great day shooting.

Air-gun sport handgun – was a tie between Sharon and Allan. We won’t go into the scores, but it was decided not to involve a shoot off.
