Handgun club shoot March 2024
What an excellent shoot, don’t know if it was by design or just luck.
We had lots of first-time shooters, and lots of lady shooters this weekend, and the shoot set up was great.
Easy shoots, no reversing or zig zagging, backwards and forward, no chance of breaking the 180 degree, and a STANDARDS. Well, done.
IF I DID NOT KNOW BETTER, I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT IT WAS AN OLD MANS SHOOT.
Range setting started before 8 and was completed by 9.
But it was the perfect shoot for beginners.
Great to see lots of beginners and ladies.
Standards nice from 20 meters moving forward. Two targets no really rushed time, except for the mag change stage, but great.
The mag change part confused the RO because it was done on the same target.
El pres. was nice with the extra target in the centre, caught out one or two old shooters who are used to the normal El-Pres shoot.
Assault no zig zagging, a box a normal one, with plates and targets, nice mix, close and far.
Tyre range, good one, a box to shoot from and some staggered targets with a far target with a hostage.
Speed shoot once again, rectangle box with plates forcing you to move from left to right.
I don’t know if Fanie knew there were lots of beginners and ladies going to be there, but it was a great one for beginners. Mooi so Fanie.

The Du Plessies clan had great fun at the end, after the results. With straf doppe been issued with the most drop shots, hostages etc. or any other reason they could think of. Nice to see that happening.
