Results – CTSASA Standards (Bloem)

Hi ho hi ho and off to Bloem we go.

Not a big group, myself, Mark and Sean, left Friday, and arrived at our accommodation at 7. What a great place Mark can do bookings from now. We had a whole house to ourselves, each had own bedroom, lekker bathrooms and fully stocked kitchen. Braai facilities etc. needless to say we started the braai and some beers.

Saturday morning, we met up with Anja and Frederick who were also here and Nick Olivier as well.

Shooting not so great, you shoot one straight, and you think you can shoot. Trap is a great leveller can bring you down to size.

Anyway, there was a Jinx there some were, all three of us finished our last round with a 16. Not good. Me on trap, Mark on Olympic skeet, Sean on NSSA skeet and Nick on universal. All 16!!!

Frederick was not too sure what to shoot, he entered Trap ATA Colts, which is 50 rounds.

Mooi so.

Einde van die dag het hy vir my gewen op trap 100 voels, hy het 75 totaal. Ek het 74 geskiet. Wat my pa altyd gese, “een punt is een punt”, “a hiding is a hiding”. Lekker Frederik.

Mark on Olympic skeet. At least they had a squad this time, he shot a 70. This with a 16 in it. This is his PB so far, well done. In the cold and wind. Finished third overall.

Sean shot NSSA Skeet, and shot an 83, also his PB, and in this cold and wind. He had a 24 in there and of course his 16.

Nick in his Universal Trench shot a 73 in his Masters class, he was top gun there, he also had a 16 in there. but he took gold in the C class.

Myself I’m quite chuffed I came second in the veterans. We looking at going to Kimberly is anyone interested?
